Alderson Inn Policies

Check In – 3:00PM

Please observe quiet hours between 10:00PM to 6:00AM.


Breakfast is served between 8:30AM-10:00AM unless otherwise noted (M-Sat) 8:00-10:00AM (Sunday Continental).


Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises, in line with our guest policies.

No pets are allowed, but ADA-compliant service animals are welcome.


Bed linens and towels are replaced every seven days unless otherwise requested, as per our Alderson Inn policies.


Trains


Our inn is conveniently located across the street from the historic Alderson Train Depot. The rail line is still operated by Amtrak and the CSX Railroad, with Amtrak stopping at the train depot three days a week. CSX travels through multiple times during the week, both day and night, without a set schedule. We want to remind you that during your stay, trains may travel at inconvenient times; however, we hope this does not affect your ability to enjoy your visit. We encourage you to enjoy a front-row seat on our porch as the trains pass by and their whistles blow!


Government Issued ID


A government-issued ID, driver's license, or passport is required for the primary renter, and the name should match the name on the credit card used. A valid form of ID will be collected electronically after booking your room to ensure a quick, easy, and contactless check-in, in accordance with our hotel policies.


Payment & Cancellation Policy


Fifty (50%) percent of the booking is due at the time of booking unless the booking is made within 14 days of check-in, in which case the full amount of the reservation is due at the time of booking.


Cancellations


Cancellations received up to 14 days before your visit will receive a 94% refund, with the remaining 6% covering credit fees and bank processing fees. Cancellations received within 14 days of your trip are non-refundable, but a credit for the full amount will be issued for future use.


Security Deposit


A security deposit of $100 will be authorized for hold one day before check-in and released one to five days after check-out.


Military/Veteran Discount


To be eligible for the Active Military or Veteran discount, the primary reservation must be made in the military member's name, and proof of service in the US Military must be provided via a valid active duty ID, retired ID, DD-214 (Honorable), or valid VA ID card. Discounts are available for reservations booked to stay in May and November. The discount code is only provided after verification of status.
