Trains
Our inn is located across the street from the historic Alderson Train Depot. The rail line is still operated by Amtrak and the CSX Railroad. Amtrak stops at the train depot 3 days a week. CSX travels through multiple times during the week, both day and night, without a set schedule.
This is just a friendly reminder that during your stay trains may be traveling at inconvenient times and we hope that it does affect your ability to enjoy your stay. We encourage people to enjoy a front-row seat on our porch as the train passes by and its whistle blows!
Payment & Cancelation Policy
The full amount of the reservation is due at time of booking.
Cancelations received up to 14 days before your visit are issued with a 92% refund. The remaining 8% covers credit fees and bank processing fees.
Cancelations received within 14 days of your trip are non-refundable, but a credit for the full amount is issued for future use.
A security deposit of $100 will be authorized for hold one day before check-in and released one to five day after check-out.
To be eligible for the Active Military or Veteran discount, the primary reservation must be made in the military member's name, and proof of service in the US Military must be made via a valid active duty ID, retired ID, DD-214 (Honorable), or valid VA ID card. Discounts are available for reservations booked to stay in May and November. The discount code is only provided after verification of status.
